Water Deflector
1991 Cadillac Fleetwood FWD V8-300 4.9LSECTION Water Deflector
NOTE: A waterproof deflector is used to seal the door inner panel and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured to the door inner panel with pressure sensitive tape located on the outboard surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as needed to service door components.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Door trim panel.
2. Trim panel retainer.
3. Water deflector by peeling deflector off door inner panel and removing waterproof tape.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Water deflector to door inner panel, making sure that tabs on bottom of deflector are in slots in bottom of door inner panel.
2. Apply waterproof tape over slots in bottom of door inner panel where water deflector tabs were installed.
3. Trim panel retainer.
4. Door trim panel.
