CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT
TOOLS REQUIRED
J 45059 Angle Meter
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (3) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Remove the CKP sensor shield.
4. Remove the CKP sensor studs and sensor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the CKP sensor and studs.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.
Tighten the studs to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) plus an additional 40 degrees using J 45059.
2. Install the CKP sensor shield.
3. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (3) to the CKP sensor.
4. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
