Vehicle Check

- Operation of horn, headlight flasher and hazard warning flashers
- Instrument cluster lighting, heater/AC blower
- Lighting system: turn signals, back-up, license plate, interior map reading, sun visor, glovebox, luggage area, and flashlight
- safety belts condition and function
- Body corrosion
- Tire inspection: (incl. spare if equipped) check tread depth, wear pattern, outer condition, inflation pressure.
- State of battery charge ("magic eye") and recharge if needed
- Power steering reservoir fluid level
- Engine coolant fluid level and concentration. Record freeze point temperature
- SRS airbag units (visual) for torn covers, obvious damage or attachment of stickers
- Rear-view mirrors function
- Headlamp washer function
- Windshield wipers and washers
- Windshield washer fluid level and concentration
- Brake system connections and lines: check for leaks, damage and correct positioning
- steering components: check play, clearance, leaks, damage and wear
- Convertible: Lower top, activate automatic roll-over protection system via diagnostic link
- underbody: (all visible parts): check for damage, leaks, corrosion
- Final Inspection: (test drive): brakes, steering, transmission, shock absorbers (visual)
