Engine Number
- The engine number -2- ("engine code" and "serial number") is located at left on the engine/transmission joint.
- There is also a label -1- located on the upper timing chain cover with the "Engine Code" and "serial number".
- The engine code is also included on the vehicle data labels.
- If a replacement engine is installed, this has no engine number. The character sequence on the sticker on the upper timing chain cover from the replacement engine is made up of the "Identification RR4 (short block R4)", "serial number", "Engine Location" and "factory of assembly".

- Engine code allocation. Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
Performance classes
- LK1 - Up to 155 kW
- LK2 - 190 through 195 kW
