Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519)
The control modules (J446) / (J431) / (J745) are integrated in the vehicle electrical system control module from MY 2013. Refer to the Parts Catalog.
- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Removing
- Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key.
- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover.
- Disengage the 3 pin relay/fuse panel by pressing the retaining springs in the - direction of the arrow - and remove the relay/fuse panel - 1 -.
- Remove the electrical wire - 1 - on the 4 pin relay/fuse panel.
- Release the retaining spring - arrow A - and tilt the relay/fuse panel - 3 - out of the mount - arrow B -.
• Ignore item - 2 -.
- Release the retaining spring - arrow - and remove the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) - item 1 - downward from the mount.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 3 and 4 -.
- To disconnect the electrical connector, press the catch - 1 -, rotate the retaining bracket in the - direction of the arrow - and remove the connector.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
• Tightening specification, refer to => [ 4 Pin Relay/Fuse Panel with Threaded Connection Nut Tightening Specifications ] Relay Carrier and Fuse Panel In Instrument Panel and A-Pillar Overview.
- Install the driver side instrument panel cover.
