HID Lamp Control Module

Removing


Danger to life due to high voltage.

Always disconnect the battery wire strap before working on gas-discharge headlamp components marked with yellow high-voltage symbols.

- Switch vehicle ignition off

- Disconnect the battery ground (GND) cable from the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Right side of the vehicle: Remove the air filter housing.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove control module - 4 - from headlamp housing.

- Disconnect the adapter wire - 3 - and connector - 1 - on the HID headlamp control module.

- Remove the HID headlamp control module.

Installing

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Cornering Light Overview ] Bi-Xenon Headlamps With Cornering Light Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Check seal - 2 - between gas discharge headlamp control module and headlamp housing for damage.

- Right side of the vehicle: Install the air filter housing.

- Connect battery. Required actions, refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
