Advanced Key

2011 Audi Q5 Quattro (8RB) V6-3.2L (CALB)SECTION Advanced Key

Advanced Key

Vehicles with immobilizer V also have the Advanced Key option. The concept was taken from vehicles with immobilizer IV, where the number of needed system components was reduced. The buttons for the central locking on the door handles have been discontinued. Touching the capacity sensor on the exterior door handle activates the lock and unlock features.

Service Information

The comfort system central control module (J393) performs the diagnosis for the "Advanced Key" under the address "05 - access/start authorization".

The function tests for "Advanced Key" components can only be included in the test plan if the type of control module is selected in "Vehicle System Test" "Guided Fault Finding" "05 - vehicle authorization system with keyless entry". This can be recognized when the type of control module appears with a black background. If "05 - vehicle authorization system with keyless entry" was not recognized automatically, then it needs to be selected manually by hand. Only then can the function tests for "Advanced Key" be included in the test plan.
