- ECM in Function 04 "Basic setting"
- Vehicle stationary, engine idling
- Engine idling Control Module in "Basic setting" function
- Engine oil temperature 80 °C (176 °F) minimum
- All electrical consumers switched off (radiator fan must not run during check)
- A/C switched off
