SUBJECT: Model Code Information
The following information may be helpful when interchanging parts and/or transmissions in vehicles equipped with a THM 125C.
The "Model Code" listing is located on the l.D. nameplate shown in Figure 1.
The listing "used by" is as follows:
1 -- Chevrolet
2 -- Pontiac
3 -- Oldsmobile
4 -- Buick
5 -- Cadillac
Any converter code that has a 3rd digit of "0" is an open torque converter with no clutch inside. These torque converters look identical on the outside as a torque converter with a clutch inside.
