- Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspection.
- Make sure New Generation Star (NGS) software version is the newest release.
- Select GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS.
- Press CONT to continue to next screen.
- Select EXPANDED DIAGNOSTIC PROTOCOL.
- Press NEW to begin entering characters.
- Use SCROLL DIAL to select characters.
- Press TRIGGER to enter characters.
- Press EXIT when done entering characters.
- Press RUN to begin viewing.
NOTE: If an error occurs, make sure string is entered exactly as written in EDP table.
- When finished, turn ignition key into the OFF position.
- Disconnect NGS from vehicle.
