Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module

Pinpoint Test J: DTC U1000:00

Normal Operation

- DTC U1000:00 (Solid State Driver Protection Active - Driver Disabled: No Sub Type Information)- sets when the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module has disabled a circuit due to a repetitive circuit overload and a progressive threshold is met.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Output circuit short

- RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module

PINPOINT TEST J : DTC U1000:00

J1 REVIEW THE DTCs

- Review the DTCs from the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module self-test.

Are any other DTCs present, besides U1000:00 or U3000:49?

Yes
REFER to the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module DTC chart Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module.

No
GO to J2.

J2 REPEAT THE RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE SELF-TEST

- Ignition ON.

- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: RFA (Remote Function Actuator) Module Self-Test.

- Clear the DTCs and repeat the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module self-test.

Is DTC U3000:49 present?

Yes
INSTALL a new RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module. REFER to Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.

No
The system is operating correctly at this time. The circuit short has been repaired.
