P-0622 GENERATOR FIELD NOT SWITCHING PROPERLY
WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key on and the engine running.
SET CONDITION
When the PCM tries to regulate the generator field with no result during monitoring.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- ASD relay output cir open (gen to harness splice)
- Generator field resistance => 5.0 ohms
- Generator field driver circuit open
- Generator field driver circuit short to ground
- Generator field wiring harness inter defect
- Generator field wiring harness observable def
- Powertrain control module defective
