P-0340 NO CAM SIGNAL AT PCM

WHEN MONITORED
During engine cranking, after a number of crank position sensor signals have been detected.

SET CONDITION
Signals are not received from the camshaft position sensor When signals are received from the crankshaft position sensor.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Engine does not start
- 8-volt supply ckt open, shtd/gnd, or high resistance
- CMP terminals dam, pushed out, or miswrd
- Wiring and connectors damaged
- Camshaft target magnet damaged/misaligned
- CMP sensor defective
- Pulse ring damaged or misaligned
- PCM defective
- CMP sen signal ckt short to sensor ground
- CMP sensor sig ckt short to 8v power supply
- CMP sensor signal circuit open
- CMP sensor signal circuit short to ground
