Whenever transaxle is disassembled, drive link chain should be inspected for possible wear. Midway between sprockets and at right angle to chain, push bottom strand of chain down until finger tight and mark case with crayon on side of chain opposite teeth. Push up on chain and make a second mark, ensuring that both marks are made from same point on chain. If distance between marks is greater than 1 1/16 inches replace chain.
