Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor
The transmission oil sump temperature is sensed by a temperature-dependent resistor which is soldered in the transmission wire harness.

The transmission temperature data are used for comfort control (gearshift 2-3/3-2 and engagement jolt) dependent on the temperature, for activation of the converter lockup clutch as well as for activation of the S-program after a new start.

The transmission oil sump temperature can be displayed with a scan tool.
