This function is provided in this form only on the DME M1.7 and hydraulic automatic transmission (not EH transmission). As of a defined vehicle speed (dependent on engine and rear axle gear ratio) a downshift from 4th to 3rd gear Is prevented in that the DME control unit deactivates a solenoid valve in the automatic transmission.
