Anti-Theft Immobilizer with Access/Start Control Module

Immobilizer control is integrated in Access/Start Control Module (J518). Component location: Integrated in steering column, removing and installing => Steering Steering

The following components are also part of the immobilizer:

• Vehicle key with integrated transponder.

• Induction coil in Access/Start Authorization Switch (E415) (electronic ignition lock).

• Engine Control Module (ECM).

• Transmission Control Module (TCM).

- If the control module is replaced, use Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & info. System (VAS 5051B) (or other VAS 505X class tester) in operating mode "Guided Functions" and select the "Replace" function for the respective control module.
