2019 Ford F-150
Had a Fram extra guard start leaking at the gasket after 2,000 miles on my F-150. What oil filters do you guys trust? Looking for something that won't fail on me between changes.

Wix XP or the Motorcraft FL-500S (OEM Ford filter). Motorcraft is literally what Ford designs the engine around. They're like at Walmart. No reason to use anything else on a Ford.

I cut open every filter brand for a YouTube video. My ranking: 1) Wix/NAPA Gold (same filter), 2) Motorcraft/Purolator Boss, 3) Mobil 1, 4) K&N. Fram is consistently at the bottom β thin filter media, weak anti-drainback valve. The engineering just isn't there.

Toyota/Denso, Honda Genuine, and Motorcraft OEM filters are all excellent and usually cheaper than the "premium" aftermarket ones. Buy OEM, skip the drama.
