I have been paying 30 dollars a month for AllData DIY and honestly the interface is terrible. Are there good free alternatives for repair procedures and specs?

SpotOnAuto has free repair guides for most common jobs, plus wiring diagrams and DTC code lookups. YouTube is great for visual walkthroughs too. Channels like ChrisFix, South Main Auto, and Scanner Danner cover everything from basic to advanced diagnostics.

Your local library might have free access to Chilton Library online. Many library systems include it with your library card. Full repair procedures, specs, and TSBs. Log in with your library card number on their website.

The factory service manual for your specific car is the gold standard. Many are available as PDFs on enthusiast forums. Search your car plus factory service manual PDF and you will usually find it. These are the same manuals dealership techs use.
