Clunking noise over bumps — control arm bushings?

Before replacing anything, have someone push down on the front of the car while you look underneath. Verify the clunk is actually the control arm bushings and not a sway bar end link ( part, 10 minute job). End links are the #1 clunking noise source on these Escapes and they're way cheaper to fix.
