2009 Honda Accord
The headlights on my 2009 Accord are so hazy I can barely see at night. Tried the toothpaste trick and it looked better for about 2 weeks then went back. What actually works long-term?

The toothpaste trick fails because you're removing the damaged UV coating but not replacing it. Here's what works: wet sand with 1000 → 1500 → 2000 → 3000 grit (takes 10 minutes per light), then apply a proper UV sealant. Meguiar's PlastX or the Sylvania headlight restoration kit both include the sealant step. The sealant is what makes it last 2+ years instead of 2 weeks.
